Analisis kualitatif kandungan senyawa polifenol pada daun herba kitolod (Hippobroma longiflora (L.) G.Don) dan potensi pemanfaatannya sebagai sumber polifenol alami

As the most significant secondary metabolites in plants with various beneficial properties, polyphenols have an increased demand for industrial use. These issues prompted exploratory studies on to be utilized as natural sources. Kitolod (Hippobroma longiflora (L.) G.Don ) has potential source because of abundant amount nature weed and is known a traditional herb based ethnobotanical studies. This study aims investigate optimal utilization by identifying content kitolod leaves. Identification was carried out deploying HPLC qualitative analysis methods specifically evaluate The results showed leaves contain 14 compounds consist phenolic acids (gallic acid, caffeic ferulic acid), flavonoids (catechin, gallocatechin, epigallocatechin, gallocatechin gallate, epicatechin myricetin, quercitrin, pelargonidin, baicalin, diosmin), another groups (ellagic acid). Contained polyphenolic can optimally industries such food, cosmetics pharmaceutical, pulp paper, dyes, textiles, biomaterials, additional wastewater treatment.
